    Following our completely sold-out debut event, we are thrilled to announce the second instalment of the FVR Brew Bar Supper Club!

    Join us for an exclusive culinary evening celebrating the incredible produce of the North York Moors. This time, we are honoured to be collaborating with New Sheepfold Farm, another of our region's champion producers. We'll be joined by the farmer herself, Louise, who will share fascinating insights into the joys and challenges of raising her unique flock on the moors.

    This is a unique opportunity to connect with the story behind your food, enjoy an expertly crafted menu from chef Carlos and baker Jose, and make new friends in a warm, social setting.

    What to Expect

    Once again, we are transforming our cosy coffee shop into an intimate social dining experience for one night only. The evening is designed in a classic supper club style – relaxed, communal, and focused on exceptional food and conversation.

    The menu is a set tasting menu, showcasing the star of the evening: the rare breed Soay lamb from New Sheepfold Farm. To enhance the communal feel, each course will be served 'family style', with dishes arriving for the table to share. As you dine, Carlos will explain the preparation of each dish, and our special guest, Louise, will talk about the lamb itself and life on the farm. It's a wonderful chance to socialise, learn, and mingle with fellow food lovers.

    Our regular menu of coffee, tea, and soft drinks will also be available throughout the evening. We are going to try and secure a temporary license for the sale of alcohol for this one, we'll let you know beforehand if we are successful! Please note that drinks are not included in the ticket price.

    The Menu

    Prepare for a true farm-to-table experience with this specially curated menu, built entirely around the exquisite flavour of Soay lamb:

    Starters

    • Grilled Courgette & Feta Salad: Lightly charred courgettes tossed with fresh mint and parsley, crumbled vegan feta, and toasted almonds, all brought together with a zesty lemon dressing. A bright and refreshing start (we figured it can't all be meat).

    • Soay Lamb Empanadas: Deliciously spiced, slow-cooked lamb shoulder from the farm, encased in a flaky, golden pastry handmade by Jose.

    Mains

    • Roasted Rack of Soay Lamb with Parsnip Purée: A centrepiece of perfectly roasted lamb rack, served on a bed of sweet, creamy parsnip purée and drizzled with a rich, savoury jus.

    • Lamb Shakshuka with Poached Eggs & Rump Steak: A rich and warming stew of tomatoes, red peppers, and spices, topped with perfectly poached eggs and accompanied by tender, braised rump steak.

    Desserts

    • TBD (A Sweet Surprise from Jose): Our head baker Jose has been working tirelessly on new creations for the shop! Alas, he hasn't decided on the dessert for the evening yet so we'll update this shortly. Knowing Jose it will be a delightful surprise, freshly baked on the day and you can expect something truly special and indulgent to finish the meal!

    Given that our first event sold out in under five days, we recommend booking quickly to avoid disappointment! We can't wait to share this special evening with you.
