Where it began.
We, Chris and Tash, are Forge Valley Roasters, a small, independent coffee company fueled by our shared love for exceptional coffee and unwavering commitment to quality. Though we call England home now, our roasting journey began in the USA where we lived for 6 years. Based in Bentonville, North West Arkansas, the vibrant coffee scene there - home to renowned roasters such as Onyx Coffee - truly captivated us.
Chris.
For me, Chris, a decade in the hospitality industry honed my palate for quality ingredients and service. From managing bars and restaurants to fine dining, I learned what truly elevates an experience. Now, that experience translates into roasting and thanks to the past 10 years in workforce efficiency and optimization consultancy I am able to put theory into practice.
Tash.
Tash, armed with a degree in Ceramics and years in retail management, brings a keen eye for design and consumer understanding. Her entrepreneurial spirit was ignited in the USA with a successful artisan pottery business, showcasing her meticulous craft and artistic flair.

Returning to England in 2023, we longed for a haven to call home and pursue our shared dream of roasting coffee. We found it nestled on the banks of the River Derwent, under the watchful gaze of Ayton Castle. At the cusp of the ancient Forge Valley Woodland, our journey as Forge Valley Roasters began.

Our micro-roastery, a hidden gem within our property, is where the magic happens. We meticulously source the finest single-origin beans from around the world, roasting them in small batches to coax out their unique flavor profiles and subtle aromas. Each roast undergoes an uncompromising quality assurance process; nothing less than the most exceptional coffee reaches your cup.
