The Origin

Founded in 2004, the Jimma Farmers Multi-purpose Agricultural Cooperative Union (JFMACU) is a prominent Ethiopian cooperative based in the Jimma Zone of Oromia. It has grown from 14 to 212 cooperatives, representing over 141,000 farmers, including 28 coffee-producing groups,
across key growing areas like Mana, Kersa, and Seka Chekorsa. JFMACU invests in community development through schools, health centres, clean water access, and educational support to uplift local livelihoods.

Cultivated at elevations ranging from 1,800 to 2,300 meters, the beans benefit from the region’s tropical climate and rich rainfall, contributing to their distinctive character. The washed process highlights the inherent clarity and brightness of this coffee. Expect a nuanced and elegant cup, with bright notes of stone fruits balanced by a smooth honey sweetness and a delicate black tea undertone. A comforting base of milk chocolate and a hint of hazelnut praline complete this complex and inviting profile.

Collect the Cards

Every coffee we source has an incredible story – an epic journey from its origin to your cup at home or in store. To honor this, we commission unique illustrated cards for each of our featured coffees.

These aren't just labels; they're collectible pieces of art that celebrate the very essence of each coffee. Each card is a small, beautiful tribute to the farm, the community, and the landscape where our beans are grown, captured by the hands of a talented artist.

We believe that every cup is an adventure, and these cards are your personal mementos. Collect them with every bag you purchase and build your own gallery of the world's most incredible coffee journeys. Each card is a new page in your coffee story.
