Our business is founded on the belief that great products and great hospitality are a direct result of a great team. Inspired by the Good Jobs Strategy from Zeynep Ton at MIT, we are committed to investing in our people, not just as a cost but as a core source of value.

Tash
Co-Founder
Tash brings a powerful combination of artistic flair and operational expertise to our business. With a degree in Ceramics and many years in retail management, she oversees our baking, branding, products, and marketing. While in the USA, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch a successful artisan pottery business, showcasing her meticulous craft. Now a full-time leader and baker in our company (as well as an SCA-certified barista), she infuses her passion for design and quality into every aspect of our brand.

Co-Founder
Chris is the driving force behind our operations and the head roaster, bringing over 19 years of global retail & hospitality experience. He has a deep, hands-on understanding of the industry, having worked at every single level from bar staff to management and then consultancy across various companies, the UK, EU and the US. This wealth of operational knowledge, combined with his consulting experience, is the foundation of our business. His dedication ensures that our operations are as exceptional as the coffee we roast.

Roaster & Barista
With a background in computer science and engineering management, Manish found his passion in the world of coffee. He made the bold move from Leicester to Scarborough with just a suitcase to help open our first Brew Bar in November 2023. His analytical skills and deep love for coffee make him an exceptional roaster and barista.

Marie's passion for hospitality and coffee led her to make a bold career pivot. After a successful tenure as a supervisor, she joined our team in February 2025. Her deep love for the industry shines through every day, and she brings a dedicated and welcoming spirit to our cafes.

Billy joined us in May 2025 to help open our Huntriss Row location. He has an incredible knack for combining his experience in fast-paced, friendly service with his passion for specialty coffee. Billy’s dedication to honing his craft every day makes him an invaluable part of our bustling cafe environment.

Chef
Hailing from Guatemala, Carlos started working in his family's restaurant at a young age. He brings a deep passion for his Latin American heritage and specializes in bold, flavorful seafood. Carlos expertly blends his unique perspective with British classics, creating a truly memorable dining experience for our customers.

Baker
Jose joined our team in June 2025 to lead our bakery operation, bringing with him a wealth of baking expertise from Colombia and Valencia. His traditional Colombian cakes are already a local sensation, but it's his signature Cinnamon Rolls—perfect with a cup of coffee—that have truly captured our hearts.

Since joining us in November 2024 to open our first Brew Bar, Meg has been a shining star. Her love for both art and coffee is evident in her incredible latte art, and she is known by all our customers for her warm presence. Megan embodies what it means to be a specialty coffee barista.

Jasmine's love for coffee began at the popular Waterpark Cafe on the Dawnay Estates. She joined us in February 2025, bringing with her a versatile skill set in both coffee and food preparation. With experience in both front- and back-of-house operations, she is a vital part of our team.

Matt is one of our most accomplished baristas, with a passion for coffee that's literally tattooed on his arms. Having traveled the world and most recently served as a Head Roaster in Wellington, New Zealand, he brings a deep wealth of knowledge and skill. Be sure to try an espresso when Matt is on shift—you won't be disappointed.

Barista
Charlie is a familiar and much-loved face in the Scarborough community, bringing a wealth of hospitality experience from his career. Starting at the iconic Scarborough Spa, he then joined Troost before becoming a central part of our Huntriss Row Brew Bar team. Known for his wonderful service and incredible coffees, Charlie is an unforgettable presence, and his passion for people and great coffee shines through in every cup he serves.
