North Riding Brewery
The story of North Riding Brewery began in 2011 when head brewer Stuart Neilson installed a small two-barrel brewing plant in the cellars of the historic North Riding Brew Pub in Scarborough. What started as a passionate endeavor serving locals pint after pint of handcrafted pale ales quickly captured the hearts of beer enthusiasts across Yorkshire. By 2015, driven by an overwhelming demand for their distinctive ales, Stuart partnered with business partner Adrian Tonge to officially establish North Riding Brewery as an independent, full-scale microbrewery.
Now based in the picturesque village of Snainton, just outside Scarborough, the brewery combines traditional British brewing methods with a modern, forward-thinking approach to flavour. Sourcing the finest ingredients and brewing with meticulous attention to detail, North Riding Brewery has built a formidable reputation for its hop-forward pale ales, rich porters, and indulgent dark milds. From classic single-hop pale ales like Citra and Mosaic to inventive seasonal brews, every pint reflects a deep passion for the craft and a true taste of God's own county. Grounded in hard work, local pride, and a commitment to quality, North Riding Brewery continues to deliver exceptional, reliable beers to pubs and beer lovers every single time.
