Take their "Planting a Lasting Legacy" initiative, for example. This project not only works to restore woodlands lost to ash dieback disease but also offers a sustainable way for people to commemorate loved ones, and helps connect children and young people with nature. Another inspiring program is "Trust Treks," a "nature wellbeing walk" inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). These walks are specifically designed for men accessing mental health services in Teesside, actively combating mental health challenges by providing a proactive, cost-effective pathway to improved wellbeing, even covering transport and providing walking boots to remove barriers to access.

Our collaboration with the North York Moors National Park Trust is multi-faceted and deeply impactful. Firstly, we are proud to donate 10% of all proceeds from our specially crafted Moors Blend coffee directly to the Trust. We also proudly participate in a pioneering "Good Travel Scan" pilot scheme, a collaboration between the North York Moors National Park and VisitBritain. The results speak volumes about our dedication: Forge Valley Roasters achieved an impressive 92% score for "Good Employment" and a perfect 100% score for "Caring for Culture".
